Porting a number is the process of transfer a number from one provider to another. This is a carefully coordinated process that typically results in no downtime for the customer.
- Copy of current phone or internet bill emailed to porting@networkphonesolutions.com
- Completed port form emailed to porting@networkphonesolutions.com
- Most information on this form may be obtained by requesting a CSR from your existing provider
- After submitting all porting paperwork provide 24-hours for the losing provider to respond
- Many systems are now automated and provide an immediate response with a transition date
- Some systems require more thorough inspection by the losing provider and will require human confirmation, this can take up to a week with some providers
- When all information is approved, the losing provider will coordinate the FOC or Firm Order Confirmation date, which is the date the lines will transition over to our network
- On the FOC date our network will be ready to accept the port, all routes and phone will be setup and tested to ensure quick transition
- Once the port has completed, our staff will finalize all configuration and paperwork. Take backups and email customer a completion notice
