Porting a number is the process of transfer a number from one provider to another. This is a carefully coordinated process that typically results in no downtime for the customer.
- The customer requesting the port must email porting@networkphonesolutions.com, please provide the following information:
- Customer Name
- Customer Address
- Telephone Numbers to be ported
- New Provider Name
- New Provider Contact Number
- Once received the information is verified and the port is coordinated with the new provider, an FOC date will be provided
- On the FOC date our staff will release the number and transition it to the new provider
- After submitting all porting request please provide 24-hours for our staff to verify and respond to the request
- When all information is approved, the new provider will coordinate the FOC or Firm Order Confirmation date, which is the date the lines will transition away from our network
- On the FOC date our network will be ready to release the port, all routes and phone will be removed and tested to ensure quick transition
- Once the port has completed, our staff will finalize all configurations and paperwork.
Should a new provider receive a rejected port for Address Verification, have them enter in our master account information. Due to some automated porting processes (Bandwidth and Verizon), the customer's address will not verify unless the master account name, account number, and address are attached instead of the customer's address.
