Transfer is a feature that will send a call to another extension or external caller. There are two forms of transfer:
- Attended - An Attended transfer will put the caller on hold, then allow you to ring the recipient to see if they are able to take the call.
- Blind - A blind transfer will send the call directly to the extension.
Most phones are setup automatically transfer calls using Blind Transfer. Should you need this changed, this can be accomplished in GDMS.
- Press the Transfer key on your phone
- Typically this looks like a phone with an arrow to another phone
- The call will be placed on hold, enter the extension you wish to ring
- You may also press a key on the phone to select a speed dial
- The recipient caller will receive a call from you to verify they wish to receive the call
- To then transfer the call to them, press the Transfer key one more time to complete the process
- Press the Transfer key on your phone
- Typically this looks like a phone with an arrow to another phone
- The call will be placed on hold, then enter the extension to wish to ring
- You may also press a key on the phone to select a speed dial
- select BlindTrnf on the screen to send the call directly to the extension
